FIRST OFF: I AM NOT SUGGESTING THESE FOR THIS CLASS....Get that out of the way before I get crushed.... :)

Trinity has replaced or added to its spec kit line with a 4wd shaft spec kit....Very interesting.... :)

Its looks like a Yokomo MR4TC..but with a shaft :-P

Could be an interesting idea...kinda like when Losi can out with their spec XXX and XXX-T cool idea in the beginning, but never really caught on

is that a pillow ball suspension??? on a spec car?? that dont make any sense - pillow balls, give great tuning, but are a pain-in-the-posterior to initially set-up and maintain, especially for a newbie who's crash-prone

I am not sure they are going after the newbie with this class, I think they are going after the die-hard Street Spec and Legends guys (since BoLink is apparantly done...) who love Spec racing, but want to come into the 21st century....I am half-tempted to get one...

For the $200 (retail) for chassis, body, motor and battery, its not a bad deal...especially when you read the specs on the chassis itself:

Be the 1st T-Spec World Champion in 2005 and win $1,000.00 in cash!

Features include:

Spec Motor, Spec battery pack, T-Spec body, Shaft Drive, Aluminum Drive Shaft, Aluminum Drive Couplers, Ball Differentials, Pillow Ball Suspension, Adjustable Caster, Adjustable Camber, Adjustable Toe In/Out, Front & Rear Droop Screws, Ball Bearings, Threaded Body Oil Filled Shocks, Heat Sink Motor Clamp, Stick or Saddle Pack, Rear Sway Bar and Motor Heat Sink

Width: 189mm - Height: 91.55mm - Length: 380mm - Wheel Base: 259mm - Gear Ratio: 7.42:1 - Weight Approx.: 3.45 lbs.

Item Number: TRI90004

Retail Price: 199.99

Available: 4/20/2004

damn..I'm not sure why they are selling it to run spec packs, but give you a side-x-side battery strap...I mean I know why, but still.....

That car really looks pretty cool for a "Spec" chassis....I bet it could be relatively competitive with alot of other cars on the market...the front of it almost looks like a Reflex suspension....

That's pretty much what Trinity does... the 1/18th scale car we were talking about several months ago became a Duratrax when the Trinity deal for it fell through...
