Well, this just bites the biG oNe....

It's 1:45am and just got a call from my daughter who was heading up from Va. and got into a little trouble on the road.

Needless to say that this will knock me out of the box for the TigerRally since I have to do a road trip in the middle of the night.

I had all my batts charged, cleaned the TuRKeY rAcE dirt off da buS, fixed an ailing front diff, and was ready to get my rally on.....

I also already told BMX that I was gonna pick him up around 8:30, so if anyone can swing by his place on the way, I'd appreciate it.

SixAndEightStringer?????

Sorry gang, wish I could make it ...... :( :x :(

what a race!!!

thanks to john for making i great "revenge of the turkey" event. thanks to mark for the lift to and throw.

mark you were fast and very close in the totals.

barry you were fast.......if you didnt break i would of had to do some work.

john if you didnt break... you probably would of given me my run of the money as well.

everyone including john footfall, mean gene, jim mayhew, al h., and tony e. helped make this event possible. you all show that rally is a "real" rc sport.

damn, who would of though id win

Yeah man... good racin', and the XXX-R (mostly) held together. Well... except for the shot that broke a C-hub in one round, and the BRAND NEW MONSTER STOCK that went into total meltdown (never seen a motor burn out so badly - the sucker is FUSED, and the inside of my car body STILL smells like melted epoxy!) I'm sending that motor back to Trinity for sure. My trusty PEAK motor kicked its butt anyway.

Anyway, I was surprised to take second; there was a lot of strong competition with much faster cars - perhaps not being as quick was an asset, as I wasn't hitting the barriers as fast! ;)

Anyway, big props to Ceci for grabbing the reins on this one and making it a very enjoyable race day for most, and props to the Belly crew, Ron and the rest of the track engineers for making it a cool track that even (mostly) works well for rally. :)

Congrats to all the winners and well done by everyone who showed up to make this a very worthwhile event.

The track is great and very suitable to rally. (If we ran it in the right direction :) )

Thanks to everyone (Jim, Carl, Mark etc.) who helped me get back on the track so I could break something else.

Believe it or not, I did have a good time.

Props to Ceci and Kaybo for keeping things running smoothly.

Good times!

Great job putting the TigeRally together guys. I have to say I enjoyed running John's new TC3 rally for the first time; after I worked out some of the bugs, the car was pretty fast 8) . Big props to BMX for keeping his car in one piece, running this class can really help in learning how to "bulletproof" your car.

6&8, sorry to see that new motor go up in smoke... While it wasn't fun for you, I have to admit I've NEVER seen one go up like that!!! I hope Trinity plans to make good on replacing the motor.

It was pretty spectacular. The only better one I can think of was the time Scooby fried his stock truck motor at Checkerboard. We literally saw FLAMES erupt from the motor. It was pretty wild.

Anyway, they'll make good - or I'll find my way up to Edison to complain in person. ;)

I'd have to agree, I didnt see whose car it was but the smoke was very visible from the drivers stand....

The best blown motor I have experienced was the 1st JDRF race running oval , 2nd qualifier, I was following this guy and his motor let go in turn 3 and the smoke engulfed my car completely, it was pretty wild, just like real NASCAR, of course the guy didnt appreciate when I went, WOW THAT WAS COOL.... :moon: :squish:

Off-roaders get trophies too...Just at the "Big" events :-P

I think a bottle of simple green should be a give-away at off-road events too :P :-P I never believed that stuff could work that well, but I've seen it
