Thanks John.
I thought it would be nice to have a place to post when people are going down there.....the more the merrier.
I was down there today for a while and there was about 8 or so down there throwing dirt around. Mostly monster trucks. The track is coming along nicely, we added more dirt in the infield and fixed some ruts. The track was very fast, when we threw some water on it the traction was crazy. There is talk about expanding it a little more, and we will add some rollers and a worm berm on one of the corners as well as extending the "right hand" side big berm a little more around the corner.
As of right now, the plan is to just have open practice for the rest of the season, but who knows. If there is enough interest maybe we can get something together. Blue Diamond doesnt have a lap counting system right now, just a loop (I think), so if anyone has a counting system and can travel...... let me know and I can get you in touch with the right people.

NICE!!!! A Blue Diamond thread!!!!!

Yeah, this place will be rocking in 2006, and hope everyone takes advantage of the practice days! Can't beat the deal, especially if people organize when they want to go right here on this thread!

This is also a great time to help Lobo and the Blue Diamond guys get the track the way they want it, and add ideas along the way....

I know I am booked solid till the Turkey Race in November, otherwise I'd try to have a race there before the end of the year, but hopefully someone else will step up and giT 'r dONE....

I talked to Ed A about it, and he'll let me know.

If not, a bunch of people and a stopwatch will do....heh heh heh

Like Lobo said....The more the Murray-er.....:pimp:

I went down and ran on the track earlier this year. This track is awesome, it's real wide and it is real fast. Had a blast on it all day. I, and many others would definetly be intrested in running there more often. A season there next year would sweet! :metal:

We will see. I havent been there in a while and this would be the off season, not sure they are even open during the winter months. Come spring I will get back out there and see what there intentions are. Hopefully there will be more races and they will extend the stand and get a ramp put in.

Bo, just an idea....

I know cost was a big factor to build a ramp "to code", but see if the boyz have a forklift/front end loader available, and maybe a special stand based on an average pallet would do the trick.....That way, they would only use it if they needed it.....

I'm thinking of doing the same at Checkerboard.....
