Anyone know of any Hobby shops in the area that stocks parts for the mini-zs?

I just purchased one and was looking to get parts locally.

Ray,

The only place I know that used to carry Kyosho parts was Zak's, I am not saying he stocks mini-z, but I know he had Kyosho stock so he might be able to order what you need. The problem with Kyosho is they went direct so you have to have an account with Kyosho America and many shops don't want to deal with them because of that.

BTW: What are you looking for?

Take care,
John

PS. You could call Action R/C and see if Al the shop owner would ship you the parts as well....

I was looking for some hop-up and spare parts. I got a MR-02 RM.

I don't know if Action sells any Kyosho stuff. Their online store doesn't have anything listed.

Thanks, John for the help.

I'll give Zaks a call and see what he has.

Action is not to far from me. I check there too. I need some stuff for my offroad cars.

Hey! I had a moment of weakness OK? :P

Hope to get to Family this year. I'm done with touring, too expensive.

Been racing at Trax 70 last year. Only place that races offroad on sunday.

Maybe I'll get to Family on opening day. See you then.

I hear ya on that Ray, I am done with Touring as well....when it costs over 1k to get a decent ride going it has gotten out of control...I am thinking Dirt Oval for the summer, maybe, MAYBE the occasional Nitro TC event...

I want to be sure we are talking about the same Action R/C, this is the one I am talking about: http://www.actionrcspeedway.com/

Nope! its not the same one. Its funny because the one in Pennsy has a guy named Al there too.

I have located a few hobby stores in the north that have them and have tracks. Maybe take a road trip to check them out.

On the touring issue, they should have some sort of a spec class.

Like my man Jammin Jeff says, I don't have the disposable income to run Touring any more.

I'm sticking with offroad racing. More fun for the money spent.

Ray - I'm not sure how close these guys are to you, but they are SUPPOSED to have a huge selection of Mini-Z stuff outside of NY

http://www.cruizinrc.com

I'd like to go up there and race one time, but I think for me - its a little too far :(

you can also check out this forum - http://mini-zracer.com/forums/index.php - if you wanna see some more info about the mini-z's :) Look in the Tracks/GTG thread for all of the mini-z clubs around

Thanks man! I have been looking around and know of this place.

Its a bit far for me too. I was at a place called Maj's Hobby Shop yesterday. He has a nice selection of parts and also 2 tracks.

What I like about their race program is its stock motors and minor hop ups to compete.

I was thinking about checking out the race in NY at the end of the month.
Not going to race, its a 2 day deal.
